One feature of our recent project in Mayfield Road was the challenge of reconfiguring a divided house back into one. Sean Gaule from Nigel Somner Architects imaginatively created a huge six metre glazed window for the reinstated stairwell and a smoked oak bespoke stairway. The combination makes for a dramatic, light filled space which sits well with the traditional Victorian features and modern refurbishments.
